Started with breakfast at the beautiful Paris Baguette Market and had some breakfast sandwiches to start.
- picked up a succulent plant pot that was so heck heavy that we decided to take a cab to the family house
- Arrived at the family and was greeted by 3 dogs-- a big ol jindo, and two tiny maltese doggies.
- Met grandma for the first time-- did our first official 세배. Practice makes perfect!
- ate some mangoes from home shopping (haha) and then headed out for lunch
- drove through some crazy traffic and side roads to the duck place... clay oven roasted duck that takes 3 hours so you have to order in advance
- went briefly to the lotte world/department store.... saw this ginormos 140+ story lotte tower, couldn't go up as we ran out of time.
- came back home and picked up grandma to go eat dinner... except right before we headed out 미남이 the jingo, decided to run out of the house so mama kim had to stay behind to wait for him to come back home. in the meantime, the rest of us went to dinner to meet 삼촌/외숙모, 삼촌 할아버지/할머니... maybe it was bc of the dog situation, but everyone was super stoic, quiet, and just ate their food a bit awkwardly. Honestly, it was one of the most awkward dinners I've had with adults ever in my life. They were all very nice people though, it was just not the type of dinner situation that I'm used to.
- we headed back home, unveiled all the gifts we got for the parents and family, and then headed back to our hotel to end the day. we did a bit of browsing around gangnam just to digest our dinner, but koala was falling asleep on me so we went back to go to sleep.
